RMUS is the leading Unmanned Systems Fleet Management provider in North America, providing vetted equipment sales, education programs (online/in-person) and professional/technical support services. RMUS, or Rocky Mountain Unmanned Systems, was founded in 2014, and continues to grow and lead the commercial UAS industry. The company is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah and provides equipment sales and UAS trainings throughout the United States, and now Canada.
VP of Technology
Jon has been involved in developing UAV systems for 15 years. He has implemented dozens of UAV programs for municipalities in the intermountain west. Jon has a large social media following for his vast knowledge of thermal UAV systems and pioneering work in creating UAV’s. Jon served five years in the U.S. marine corp., studying microelectronics. His hobbies include 30 years of building, flying and creating aerial remote control vehicles. Jon is one of the RMUS founders. Jon is a level 1 thermographer.
Jake has been flying RC aircraft for 11 years. He's an expert drone technician and has provided training for RMUS confined space and photogrammetry systems. Jake enjoys flying remote controlled 3D helicopters and building his own RC systems. Jake is a part 107 remote UAS Pilot and a level 1 thermographer.
Jeff Flowers has been a part of the drone community since 2007 and has enjoyed every aspect of it. Jeff is an accomplished RC helicopter pilot and FPV drone racer. Jeff is currently sponsored by Horizon Hobby and Thunder Power RC. In his spare time, Mr. Flowers enjoys hiking, traveling to events to participate in RC competitions, fishing, and tinkering on current drone builds.
VP of Sales & Marketing
Ryan Wood is a graduate of the Goizueta School of Business from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a dual major in Finance and Marketing. Ryan spent 3 years as Marketing Director for HRP Distributing. He is a founding member and President of the Mountain West Unmanned Systems Alliance, a Utah based group of stakeholders, commercial and civil operators in the unmanned systems industry. Ryan is one of the RMUS founders.
VP of Operations
Corey has more than 15 years of experience in helping early-stage companies establish effective internal processes and controls. In addition to successfully growing several businesses, he has also established and/or managed a few not-for-profit entities. Corey holds a masters degree in business administration from Westminster College in Salt Lake City and a bachelors of arts in sociology from Colgate University in New York.
Velibor has an extensive experience in brand development and is responsible for ensuring that the RMUS products and services resonate with current and potential customers. His responsibilities also include managing and enforcing the visual identity of the RMUS brand across multiple channels to effectively deliver on the RMUS marketing and brand strategies.
J.T. is the president and co-founder of RMUS. His experience includes 3 years as Chief Operating Officer of HRP Distributing, a consumer-grade remote control vehicle, and drone distributor and 5 years as president of Gear to Grow, a non-profit start-up focused on the distribution of used gear to non-profit groups getting more people outdoors. J.T. holds a masters degree in business administration from Westminster College of Salt Lake City and a bachelors of science degree in geology from the University of Utah. In his spare time, J.T. enjoys hiking, fishing, skiing or mountain biking in the hills of Northern Utah and Jackson, Wyo. He currently resides in Salt Lake City with his wife and two children. J.T. is a level 1 thermographer.
General Manager - Canada
Kevin has been a UAV market pioneer in Canada. As head of Gap Wireless’s UAV division Kevin was a key part of the first DJI Enterprise partner in Canada and helped GAP become the largest DJI Enterprise partner in Canada as well as a DJI Service Award winner. Kevin is no stranger to high growth environments with 20 years experience in 15 countries, including 6 years based in Asia, working with leading companies to help them develop new markets and launch new products. He holds an MBA in marketing from INSEEC in Paris, a post baccalaureate diploma in Asia Pacific Management from Capilano University in Vancouver, and a BA in Psychology from Carleton University in Ottawa. In his spare time he is training for his first 100 mile Ultramarathon.
Jace is a graduate of Weber State University with a Bachelor’s in videography. His start in drones was as a self-employed photographer and videographer in 2013 shooting a wide variety of scenarios including action sports and real estate. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children and riding and fixing motorcycles. Jace is a Level 1 Thermographer and Part 107 Remote UAS Pilot.
Chad has been involved in the RC world for 22 years and UAV's for the last 6 years. Chad is an expert drone technician. He was a technical service rep on digital office equipment for 18 years. Chad lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two kids. He enjoys building and flying drones, filming aerial videos, camping, and hiking outdoors. Chad is a part 107 remote UAS pilot and level 1 thermographer.
Laney has had over 10 years of sales experience. He has lead several sales teams across the country and sold various types of technology around the world. He now specializes in government contracts and negotiations for all types of municipalities/agencies. Laney is a part 107 remote UAS pilot and a level 1 thermographer. He enjoys flying different UAV's in his spare time and also a huge sports fanatic.
Senior Drone Technician
Mr. Stoddard has been a hobbyist and a tinkerer of electronics most of his life starting at a young age tearing things apart and learning how they worked and trying to fix them. Lance took up the hobby of drones 6 years ago and it has developed that into his career. He also enjoys modeling trains, music, camping. Lance is a level 1 thermographer.
Advanced Drone Technician/Logistics
Spencer has been flying RC aircraft for 13 years and UAV's for the last 5 years. He's an expert drone technician Spencer enjoys flying remote controlled planes and building his own RC systems. He also enjoys filming aerial videos. Spencer is a level 1 thermographer.
Nate has been building and flying RC aircraft since he was a young teenager. He has turned his passion for RC aircraft into his career. He has worked for various drone companies helping them to build and maintain technical support services. He is advanced in photogrammetry, 3D modeling, and mapping. He has experience as a data processor using multiple applications like Bentley Context Capture and Pix4D. Nate is a Part 107 remote UAS Pilot and certified in Pix4D.
Fleet Management Liaison
BuShawn has spent the better part of two decades providing IT and support desk expertise and service for large companies. He has a passion for helping people achieve their technical goals and build and manage their drone fleets. BuShawn provides liaison services for RMUS and it's customers to facilitate growth, functionality and opportunity. In his free time BuShawn enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and family.
Mr. Morris brings more than 29 years of business and corporate management experience to Dronitek. He has over 5,200 hours of fixed wing aircraft flight time including over 2,200 hours of manned flight instruction given, 34 years of accident/incident free flight operations and experience in over 35 different aircraft makes and models. Barry is currently flying as a FAA certified flight instructor in both single and multi-engine aircraft. He also holds a FAA Advanced Ground Instructor and Remote Pilot certificate and was awarded the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Flight Instructor Excellence Honor Roll recognition in 2013, 2014 and again for 2015. As a chief flight instructor, he has worked closely with the FAA in developing training curriculum for FAR Part 141 flight schools in addition to operating his own flight academy and is our chief instructor at Dronitek. He is passionate about aviation and strongly believes in providing the highest level of training to all our students.
Mr. Wiedman is Dronitek's lead flight instructor for our Mapping and Modeling and First Responder certification courses in addition to teaching our basic sUAS flight skills training course. Doug holds an AS in Computer Technology, BS in Political Science, MA in International Relations, CA POST certificate, FAA Remote Pilot certificate, FLIR Level 1 sUAS certification in Thermography, as well as multiple FAA Part 107 Certificates of Wavier. In addition, he holds certificates from Pix4d as well as specific training in collision reconstruction utilizing sUAS. He is a retired Deputy Sherriff and a current law enforcement Remote Pilot with extensive experience training and developing sUAS programs for public safety and is currently a sUAS pilot instructor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to 22 regional agencies and 4 counties including several California State agencies. He has trained hundreds of students and assisted multiple public safety agencies in developing their own training programs including night operations.
Jeff has been a project manager in the paints and coatings industry for over 17 years. He currently serves as the manager of Sabelhawk Inspections, LLC. He has hundreds of hours of sUAS operational experience in flight. He has worked with federal and local municipalities to address policy and procedures issues dealing with sUAS operations.
James is a veteran of the Air Force with over 28 years of air terminal logistics experience. He currently owns and operates Pacific Northwest Aerial Vision, LLC. He also currently serves on the FAA Safety Team as an sUAS Safety Representative. He is a Level 1 UAS Thermographer. He has hundreds of hours of sUAS operational experience in flight. He has worked with federal and local municipalities to address policy and procedures issues dealing with sUAS operations.
Drone Services Hawaii
Michael Elliott is a retired Naval Officer with a 30 year career serving active duty and as a civilian. As a Surface Warfare Officer on carriers, cruisers and destroyers for 23 years worked in numerous Combat Systems roles. Upon retirement, he worked at Commander Pacific Fleet Headquarters in the N53 Plans Department. In 2014 Mike along with George Purdy and Ellen Elliott formed Drone Services Hawaii. With 10+ years in RC and drone experience, Mike and his partners set out to be the first in Hawaii to do a full scale drone business. In 2019 Mike along with George completed preparation of and securing the first major contract for the Lanai UAS Test Site, a first as a public / private partnership for UAS testing.
President and Owner of Texas UAS LLC: Chris has almost 20 years in the chemical industry with advanced degrees in chemistry from Texas Tech University and the University of Arizona. He has a variety of experience in industrial applications, including the mining, chemical, and oilfield. Additionally, Chris has 20 years of experience in remote control aircraft and started his first drone business in 2016, upon obtaining his FAA Part 107 sUAS Remote Pilot Certification.
Toledo Aerial Media
Chris is a FAA Certified Remote Pilot and ITC sUAS Level 1 Thermographer with years of experience, and an educational background, in the technology field. He has hundreds of hours behind the sticks of an array of multi-rotor unmanned aircraft in technical and creative applications. As co-owner of Toledo Aerial Media (TAM), Chris leads the training division of the company, which serves a wide variety of clientele from public safety and utility to private industry and hobbyists. In addition, he manages the commercial drone service division and assists with field operations.
Paige is an emergency manager and UAS program manager. She has extensive experience on multiple UAS platforms, and has been involved in many large scale multi-agency UAS responses. She has provided policy development guidance to federal, state, and local government agencies who operate programs in compliance with 14 CFR 107, and has been involved in efforts to develop NIMS resource typing criteria through the National Integration Center. She is also a certified UAS flight instructor, Level 1 Public Safety Thermographer, and Certified Emergency Manager.
Public Safety Specialist
Adam is a seasoned public safety professional with over 30 years’ experience. He currently serves as the Director of UAS Flight Operations for a municipal law enforcement agency in Delaware. He has hundreds of hours of experience as both a pilot in command and as an instructor on multiple UAS platforms. Adam has served as the UAS Commander for several multi-agency large scale responses and is a level 3 Thermographer. Adam has extensive flight experience in search and rescue and tactical response. He has authored numerous FAA compliant COA’s, 333 exemptions and UAS policy documents.

Confined Space Inspection Specialist
Lane is the President of Aerial Data Fusion, a company focused on reducing & eliminating Confined Space Entry by Humans for Inspections, into dangerous environments like boilers, reactors, pressure vessels, process piping and process storage tanks. To date, he has accumulated 600 + flights & mission management during the past few years primarily with several Flyability Elios-1 and now operating the Elios-2 as well as Certification with the G.E. BIKE Magnetic Crawler and various Inuktun Crawlers. These missions were conducted over the approximately 47 client facilities like: Honeywell, Westlake-Axial, Eastman & Dyno-Noble, that he and his pilots were approved to operate with some being historic due to the piping and vessels never being accessed since they were commissioned, some dating back to Pre-WWII.
UAS Operations Manuals
In 2014, Gus Calderon founded Airspace Consulting to provide technical writing services to the UAS industry. A commercial pilot with 25 years of aviation experience, Gus developed and operated an FAA certified air charter company that met the FAA’s requirements for maintenance, inspection, and recordkeeping. Gus writes UAS Operations Manuals that incorporate FAA standards for commercial aviation . His Aircraft Flight Manuals and Training Manuals also incorporate principles of aviation which translate to higher standards of safety while conducting UAS operations.

Hoodman provides unique accessories to the Drone Industry: Landing Pads - that come in 2, 3, 5 and 8 foot sizes insure clean and debris free take offs and landings; Aviator Sun Shades - for glare free viewing of all displays; and Drone Belts & Tripod Mounts - provide solid support for controllers.
Jonathan Rupprecht, Esq. brings his commercial pilot/flight instructor and legal experience to the table to help businesses and individuals implement their ideas in the rapidly growing and changing unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) industry. Jonathan went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating with a bachelor of science (Magna cum Laude). He later wrote a book on drone law which lead into him co-authoring an American Bar Association legal treatise on drone law with his focus on the history of unmanned aircraft, the FAA rulemaking process, and the proposed commercial drone regulations. Jonathan co-founded the Unmanned Systems Legal Association which aims to be the premier international association of lawyers focusing on drone law.
